Why this project

While having a dinner in a greek restaurant in the City of Solothurn we were suddenly startled by the "Solothurn light run". In this event a crazy crowd dressed up with small light installations runs through the beautiful city of Solthurn. We discussed how this could be brought to a higher level (more than 1000 LEDs we said) by combining methodologies from the maker scene with an agile mindset.  After a bottle of red wine some initial ideas, we both accepted the challenge to bring art, technology and fun together.

Who is behind

Beat and Simon know each other from University of Applied Sience where they graduated in electrical & electronic engineering with a strong focus on software. While Beat is currently working in a SMB as a senior SW Architect, Simon is working in a Large Enterprise as Leader for agile teams. What both have in common is the play instinct, the curiosity about technology, modern ways of working and the joy in bringing a smile in people's face using a small tech-art project.

Why this Blog

In this project we discovered some parallels in launching new products in either a powerful big enterprise, a fast paced SME and a crazy project. This we are going to reflect here. And then we found some nice solutions not only for working modes but also technical issues. These we are going to opensource here.

And one more word
